It is with solemn hearts that we at the Ahimsa Peace Institute honor the life and passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, a man of the people, who departed this world at the age of 88, just one day after Easter, the celebration of resurrection, hope, and eternal light.
Pope Francis embodied a rare and radiant compassion. His papacy was marked by humility, courage, and an unwavering commitment to inclusion, and peace. He reminded the world, by word and by deed, that the true measure of faith lies in how we serve the least among us.
A day before his passing, he welcomed the President of the United States and his family in what we now know was one of his final acts of grace. May that meeting be seen as a symbol of healing across nations and faiths, and a divine call to unity.
As we reflect on his extraordinary legacy, we remember his efforts toward interfaith dialogue, care for creation, and protection of the marginalized. His message deeply resonated with our mission of Ahimsa.
Today, we bow in gratitude.
May his soul rest in the infinite peace he so tirelessly championed.
