The mission of Gandhi Worldwide Education Institute d/b/a/ Ahimsa Peace Institute, is to promote community peace building globally, with a focus on economically depressed areas of the world, through the integration of Gandhian philosophy and vocational education for children, youth, and their parents, fostering global peace.

Commentary on Promotions and Reach

Promotion is not ancillary to the mission of Gandhi Worldwide Education Institute (GWEI) d/b/a Ahimsa Peace Institute (API). It is a core responsibility. Our mission explicitly calls us to promote community peace building across North and South America and in economically depressed regions of the world through Gandhian philosophy and vocational education. In 2025, this commitment to promotion translated into tangible global reach and engagement.

Across Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Vimeo, GWEI-API achieved a collective content reach of over 515,000 individuals and more than 36,000 combined clicks and reactions, demonstrating sustained public engagement with educational and peace building content. Our digital outreach extended across diverse geographic regions, including the United States, India, Brazil, France, Qatar, and multiple European and Middle Eastern countries, reflecting the global relevance of Ahimsa and nonviolence education.

As an organization in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since July 23, 2015, promotion is both a mandate and an accountability measure. These reach metrics affirm that GWEI-API is actively fulfilling its role as a peace education organization by amplifying nonviolence-based solutions, elevating underrepresented voices, and making Gandhian principles accessible to communities worldwide through modern communication channels.
